Each service below is delivered in line with the Australian Taxation Office's record-keeping rules and the Fair Work employment standards. Pick what you need, or take the lot.
Every transaction — income, expense, sale, purchase — entered against the right account, with the right GST treatment, on the right date. Done daily, weekly or monthly, depending on volume.
The ATO requires business records to be kept in English, in writing (paper or electronic), and for at least five years from the date the record was prepared or the transaction completed — whichever is later.
We match every line on every statement to your accounting file. If something's missing, we find it. If something's been entered twice, we fix it. The result: a closing balance you can trust.
The ATO uses data-matching against bank, payment processor and government data. Clean reconciliations are your first defence — they let you substantiate every GST claim and income figure on your BAS.
Accounts payable: bills entered, scheduled and paid on time. Accounts receivable: invoices issued, statements sent, and overdue accounts followed up — politely and persistently.
For supplies over $82.50 (incl. GST), your tax invoice must show: supplier ABN, GST amount or a statement that GST is included, the date, and a description of what's been supplied. We make sure every invoice you send meets the standard.
Wages calculated, PAYG withheld, super accrued, payslips issued — and everything STP-ready the same day the pay run leaves your account, for your registered agent to submit.
Super guarantee rate is 12% from 1 July 2025, paid quarterly to the employee's chosen fund by the 28th of the month after each quarter. STP Phase 2 is mandatory for all employers and reports to the ATO each pay event.
We track GST collected and GST paid every month, reconcile the GST control account back to the general ledger, and prepare your Business Activity Statement for each quarter. You lodge it via myGov or your business portal — or we coordinate the lodgement with your registered BAS or tax agent.
BAS due on the 28th of the month after each quarter:
Q1 (Jul–Sep) · 28 Oct
Q2 (Oct–Dec) · 28 Feb
Q3 (Jan–Mar) · 28 Apr
Q4 (Apr–Jun) · 28 Jul
GST registration is required at $75,000 turnover ($150,000 for non-profits).
Numbers should answer questions. We deliver the three core reports — Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow — at the cadence that suits your business, with comparative periods and the commentary you actually need.
Small businesses (turnover under $50M) qualify for the simplified depreciation rules and small-business CGT concessions. Clean reports make those concessions much easier to claim — we keep them ready for your tax agent year-round.
We work in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks Online daily. New file from scratch, migration from one platform to another, or a tidy-up of a chart of accounts that's grown out of control — we'll get you to a setup that matches the way your business actually runs.
The ATO maintains a register of STP-enabled software. We only set up payroll on platforms on that register, so your STP reporting works on day one. Bank-feed setup is done via the bank's CDR / Open Banking consent flow.
Behind on BAS? Two years of unreconciled bank feeds? A previous bookkeeper who left things in a worse state than they found them? We unwind it. Quietly, methodically, and without judgement. The end state: a current, clean, audit-ready file you can trust.
Late BAS lodgement attracts Failure to Lodge penalties (around $330 per 28-day period, capped at five units for small entities). Late super becomes a Super Guarantee Charge. Voluntary disclosure can reduce both — we help you get there.
Tax time should be the quietest month of the year, not the loudest. We keep your records compliant, your asset register current, and your file in the exact format your tax agent prefers — so when 30 June arrives, the answer to "how are the books?" is "ready."
Businesses in building & construction, cleaning, courier & road freight, IT, and security/investigation services must lodge a TPAR by 28 August each year, reporting payments to contractors. We track these as you go — not in August.
Under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, lodging BAS for a fee is a regulated service performed by Tax Practitioners Board-registered BAS or tax agents. We prepare your BAS, GST and IAS to lodgement-ready standard — you lodge directly via myGov / business portal, or we coordinate hand-off to your registered agent. Either way, no compliance gap.
